Fundraising for CNMC in 2015

The Partnership FCU Raises Over $10,000 for Children’s National Medical Center in 2015

December 14‚ Arlington, VA — The Partnership Federal Credit Union recently held its fourth annual Fall Football Donate-A-Dollar campaign, raising money for Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Every time members made a transaction in a branch or over the phone, they were encouraged by Credit Union employees to donate a dollar to help patients in need at Children’s National Medical Center.

The Donate-A-Dollar campaign is something members and employees look forward to every fall in conjunction with the NFL season. Throughout the campaign, employees are encouraged to wear their favorite NFL team jersey on Fridays to help initiate conversation with members. For every dollar a member donates during the campaign, they receive a paper football provided by Children’s National Medical Center to write their name on and post in the branch. This is not only a visual showing of the donations raised, but also a way to spark friendly competition between the membership and their favorite branch.

“We believe that everyone in our community deserves value through partnership,” said Theresa Mann, President/CEO of The Partnership FCU. “We are extremely grateful for the efforts and contributions from employees, members and supporting organizations to help patients and their families at Children’s National Medical Center. It is a true showing of value through partnership.”

The Partnership FCU actively fundraises as a part of Credit Unions for Kids, the national non-profit collaboration of credit unions united to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, of which credit unions are the third largest sponsor. Throughout the year, The Partnership FCU fundraises specifically for their local hospital, Children’s National Medical Center, the champions for pediatric healthcare for more than 140 years, which is located in our nation’s capital.

With the culmination of the Fall Football Donate-a-Dollar campaign, The Partnership FCU’s has raised over $10,000 for Children’s National Medical Center. Other funding raising efforts this year include the following:

  • The Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile run team
  • Items donated by employees to the Cherry Blossom Gala
  • Annual CU4Kids Bowling Tournament four team participation
  • Art supplies Donation for Imagination drive
  • Employee donations throughout the year for jeans day
  • The Skip-A-Loan Payment form fees

In June, The Partnership FCU was honored by Credit Union Miracle Day as winners of the 2015 Credit Union Member Donation Challenge for their excellent fundraising totals. From May 1, 2014 to April 30, 2015, The Partnership FCU had the highest total of funds generated from all fundraising initiatives per member, per challenge, for Children’s National Medical Center.
